SAWA Mock-up Featuring a Facade
Last week, the facade of the mock-up at the SAWA construction site was finished with wooden slats. The team from Mei architects and planners the mock-up. The facade cladding in combination with the window frames gives a good idea of what SAWA will look like when it is finished.

SAWA wins Architecture Masterprize
At the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, the initiators of SAWA—Robert Winkel and Mark Compeer of Mei architects and planners Nice Developers proudly received the 8th architecture prize for SAWA, for the best Conceptual Architecture in the prestigious Architecture MasterPrize award competition in America.

Construction of SAWA commences
Construction has begun on SAWA – the very first 50-meter-high circular wooden residential building in the Netherlands. At a festive gathering on November 18, the symbolic start signal was given for the construction of this iconic residential building on Rotterdam's Lloydpier.

SAWA Mock-up
This week, construction began on the SAWA mock-up: a test setup of the wooden SAWA structure. Various measurements will be conducted using this mock-up in the coming period to further optimize SAWA's technical design.
